Q: How can I earn points?
Points are earned primarily by entering in words found throughout the site or in newsletters.
Here's a break down on where to find words:
Challenge Words: These are found my clicking throughout the partner sites and the SheKnows forum and are set in themed boxes.
Newsletter Words: These words are found by viewing and clicking the articles throughout the newsletters which you subscribe to. 300 and 350 pointers can be found at the bottom of the newsletter e-mail and 50 pointers can be found within the articles. These words are not in a box but are either listed at the top of an article in bold or at the very bottom.

Weekly Words: These are 250 Points each and can be found on the front page of each Partner site placed in a box.
Contest Words: You can also find words hidden within contest links.

Q: How can I receive points through contests?
Winners of the monthly challenge have a chance of winning extra points: 1st, 100,000, 2nd, 50,000 & 3rd, 20,000.
Also, every now and then SheKnows hosts member only contests. Entrants receive a certain amount of points as stated by each contests' rules. Each vote (up to a max of 10 votes per day) will be credited with 50 Points. And each comment will also be credited with 50 Points. The winners of the contests also earn points or prizes (depending upon the rules outlined in each contest)
Are there any current contests?
Yes! Currently you can participate in the SheKnows Pregnant Belly Painting Contest and the SheKnows Cutest Kids' Halloween Costume Contest.

• Earn 1000 points for each entry you submit (up to 5)
• Earn 50 points for each vote (first 10 per day)
• Earn 50 points per approved comment (unlimited)
Entries are open to both US & Canada and will be accepted until November 15th.
However, this contest will only grant prizes to those who are US residents.
Q: How long does it take to earn enough points to redeem?
Point value of prizes is no less than 30-40,000.
Here's a bit of math to put your prize goal(s) into perspective:
Weekly Words: 250 x 15 = 3750 x 4 = 15,000
Challenge Words: Highest amount tends to be in around 8,000 + a month.
Newsletter Words (*Up to 3,000 per week): 3,000 x 4 = 12,000
*The added newsletter words are also a new addition keep in mind. Which, as a note, has since been changed from 5,000 to 3,000 per week.
15,000 + 8,000 + 12,000 = 35,000 on avg per month.
Q: Do I have to pay shipping and handling?
No.
How long does it take to receive a prize?
As short as 2 weeks, as long as a month.
Tips:
• As a tip, enter in the words that are about to expire FIRST from highest to lowest and then work your way through the contest words from highest value to lowest.
