I thought it may be neat to start a thread where we can share coupon finds, deals etc. Or problems redeaming them with cashiers etc.

I was at the A&P today and there were 2 ladies handing out samples. So we started talking about coupons and I mentioned all the fpc I get from online. (I told them both about the sight too ) they were both so happy tha they gave me 2 full packs of coupons. The one pack has 2x .50 cents off on each coupon for flavoured bottled water and flavoured green tea. when on sale they are $1.99 so I can get them for $1.50 (regular $3.99). Plus they do not expire until 2009 This was great for me as my kids go through them so quickly

My most recent coupon snag (both good and bad) was just this past week. I had received my Splenda FPC in the mail () and just in time too as Wal-mart had a Splenda promotion (it might still be available). Attached to a number of the 275 g Splenda bags was a 50 count box of Splenda packets. The FPC was valued at $10.99 and with the bonus a savings of nearly $12 - 15 - not bad.
..as for the bad, well.. if you can, try and avoid redeeming coupons at Wal-mart.
Wal-mart isn't very coupon friendly to say the least. For those who don't know, printables are refused at Wal-mart so don't even try. As for the coupons that are cut out from flyers and those distributed through the mail, they'll accept them ...but about 10 minutes later.
Every time I try, I get stuck with these cashiers who don't know what the hell they're doing and end up calling the manager down. "Free, this is free? I don't understand". LOL. To save the people in the line behind you from cursing, redeem only one coupon at a time at Wal-mart otherwise you'll be there forever. Oh and good luck fighting for the tax to be included when you hand them an FPC - most times they don't, unless you sneak to the back and purchase at layaway.. LOL
Yes, I have had trouble with online coupons as well.
I don't know why manufacturers even bother with them.
Maybe they kinda figure they won't be accepted so it is cheap advertising for them.

At Walmart yesterday Selected Types of Ziploc Double Zipper Freezer Bags were on sale for $1.98, had $2 Coupons for $2 Off if you bought 2 packages, Neat!
Noticed that the big pump Bottles of Tresemme Shampoo & Conditioner had .75 coupons attached to the bottles at Zellers, sorry, no other details.
Seems like there are a lot of new coupons to be found, while shopping at the different stores, good idea as the stores here will not take internet coupons.

Walmart is unbelievable. I always end up getting the coupons redeemed, but geez, as Melissa said, ten minutes later. It is almost embarrassing. I did get lucky with one cashier who was fantastic at Walmart, but that was because she used coupons too. I had 11 of the $3 off coupons for Airwick and they were on sale for $3 and she took them all without a moments hesitation. But cashiers like her are few and far between.
On the weekend, the Local Shoppers Drug Mart also had the Dempster's English 6 pkg. of English Muffins on sale for .99 cents, used the new Dempster's English Muffin .50 cent coupon, got them for .49 cents, don't know if this sale is still on, don't think was listed in the flyer.
I also heard today that someone got an Olay gift pack from Shoppers, I believe it was. The gift pack was 9.99 and she used the save.ca coupon buy any 3 Olay products and save $10, so she got it for free. Due to the fact that the gift pack had three or more items in it.
Also will depend on which Shoppers you go to and the mood of the cashier, etc. But certainly worth a try.
Good buy on the Olay Gift packs, if you can get the coupon redeemed at Shoppers!
Redeemed a Febreze Air Effects coupon on the the Febreze Bonus Packs at Zellers yesterday, no problem.
